Hi everybody!!!
This is Senthil - am very interested in cooking/ learning new dishes. Trying to get the recipe for a type of kolambu that goes very well with chicken/ mutton biryani, this I tasted few times. I don't know the name of the kolambu - but I can describe it - it is made either with raw banana (valaikai) or brinjal. There will be dhal present in it, also some masala items like cloves, etc. It appears to fall in a category some where between the normal Kuruma which we make as a side dish for biryani and sambar. But this tastes very good with biryani. I want to learn how to make this: any body know how to make this (or atleast heard about this kolambu and can tell me what I am talking about:-)). Thanks!

Hello, Suhera, You've referred to "curry powder" in your recipe for mutton dalcha. What curry powder are you referring to? Is it available in the Indian stores? or do you prepare it at home. If so what goes into making it.
